New East Central Community College women’s basketball coach LaTaryl Williams will hold a tryout from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 21, in Brackeen-Wood Gym on the campus in Decatur.
The tryout is open to players who will graduate from high school in 2018, or have already graduated but have not already played two years of college sports. Anyone who is not a 2018 high school graduate will need to bring a copy of a recent physical in order to participate.

The East Central Community College men’s and women’s tennis teams lost a pair of matches to nationally ranked Jones County Junior College Thursday, April 5, in Ellisville.
The East Central women lost a 7-2 match to the No. 15 ranked Jones County Lady Bobcats, and the ECCC men fell 7-2 to the No. 25 ranked Jones County Bobcats.

The East Central Community College women’s soccer program will host a one-day “ID Camp” on Saturday, June 23, at the soccer complex on the campus in Decatur.
The camp is open to all women soccer players in the high school classes of 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023.

The No. 17 East Central Community College Warriors split a doubleheader with Mississippi Delta Community College on Saturday, March 31, dropping game one 6-5 before coming back to take the nightcap 9-3.
The Mississippi Delta home games were played at Smith-Wills Stadium in Jackson due to wet field conditions in Moorhead.

The No. 6 ranked East Central Community College Lady Warriors came back to win game two after losing in walk-off fashion in the opener of an MACJC softball doubleheader at Holmes Community College Friday, March 30, at Lady Bulldog Softball Field in Goodman.
The Lady Warriors are now 23-7 overall on the season and 10-6 in MACJC play, while the Holmes Lady Bulldogs are 13-13 overall and 6-10 in league play.

East Central Community College will again serve as host site for the annual Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges All-Star Basketball contests.
The doubleheader will be held Friday, April 13, in Brackeen-Wood Gymnasium on the ECCC campus in Decatur. The North Division women and South Division women will face off at 5 p.m. and the North and South men’s game will follow at 7 p.m.
Admission is $8 for adults and $5 for students.
