Registration is underway for East Central Community College’s high school residential boys and girls soccer camps to be held in June on the ECCC campus in Decatur.

The Summer High School Residential Girls Soccer Camp will be held June 2-4, 2019. The cost is $225 per camper.

East Central Community College faced its second straight nationally ranked opponent on the road when the Warriors dropped a baseball doubleheader at No. 17 Meridian Tuesday, April 30.

The Meridian Eagles won the opener 11-1 and then game two 4-1 for the MACJC sweep.

The Warriors are now 20-21 overall on the season and 13-13 in the league. East Central is in a three-way tie for seventh place with the top nine teams earning postseason berths. Meridian improves to 27-13 overall and 16-10 in the conference.

Several East Central Community College students received honors during the college’s 2019 Awards Ceremony held April 25, 2019, in Huff Auditorium on the campus in Decatur.

The East Central Community College football program is hosting showcases for Class of 2020 players and Class of 2019 players are have not signed to play college football on Friday, May 24, at Bailey Stadium on the ECCC campus in Decatur.

The showcase for the Class of 2020 players, or rising high school seniors, will begin at 9 a.m., with the showcase for class of 2019 unsigned players beginning at about Noon.

Several East Central Community College student-athletes received honors during the college’s 2019 Spring Sports Awards Banquet held recently in Mabry Cafeteria on the campus in Decatur.

The No. 11 ranked Northwest Rangers defeated the East Central Community College Warriors 16-2 and 3-2 in extra innings in MACJC baseball action Saturday, April 27, at Jim Miles Field on the Northwest campus in Senatobia.

The Warriors are now 20-19 overall on the season and 13-11 in the league. No. 11 Northwest improves to 31-9 overall and 20-6 in the conference.

The No. 16 ranked East Central Community College Lady Warriors collected 28 hits and scored 27 runs in picking up an MACJC softball doubleheader sweep over Mississippi Delta Saturday, April 27, at the Carl and Brenda Grubb Softball Complex in Moorhead.

The Lady Warriors won the opener 10-0 by run-rule in six innings and then took game two 17-1 in five innings. The wins clinched a spot for East Central in the 2019 MACJC State Tournament.
