The Early Childhood Academy at East Central Community College will hold an Open House to start the new school year from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 1.
The event for area schoolteachers and schoolchildren will feature free backpacks with supplies (while supplies last), gift bags, door prizes, and refreshments.

The annual EC Day at the Neshoba County Fair celebrating East Central Community College in Decatur is scheduled for Monday, July 29, at the Neshoba County Fairgrounds in Philadelphia.
ECCC alumni, students, and prospective students and their families, and all fair goers are invited to attend EC Day at the Fair.
The ECCC Collegians rock-n-roll band, the Warrior cheerleaders, and the Centralettes dance line are some of the entertainment scheduled for 1 to 2 p.m. at the Founders Square Pavilion.

East Central Community College will offer a Warrior Wednesday Orientation session on Wednesday, Aug. 7, on the Decatur campus. It is the final orientation session before fall 2019 classes begin on Monday, Aug. 12.
Warrior Wednesday will be from 9 a.m. to Noon beginning in the Vickers Fine Arts Center. New students can begin signing in for the session at 8:30 a.m.

East Central Community College representatives from the areas of Adult Education, Workforce Development, and Instruction will be located at the Louisville WIN Job Center from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2019 to assist students with registration for various programs, including 2019 Fall college classes, High School Equivalency classes, and Workforce Development classes.

Sixty-five East Central Community College student-athletes have been honored by either the National Junior College Athletic Association or the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges, or both organizations, for their academic performance during the 2018-19 school year.

Led by the Lady Warrior softball team, five East Central Community College varsity sports teams earned National Junior College Athletic Association Academic Team of the Year Honorable Mention awards for having met the grade-point average requirement of 3.00 or better for the 2018-19 academic year.
