The East Central Community College men’s basketball team will host five other teams in a Preseason Jamboree on Saturday, Oct. 28, in Brackeen-Wood Gym on the Decatur campus.

Admission is $8 per person to the Jamboree, which serves as a fundraiser for the program. Concessions will be sold.

The East Central Community College Art Club will sponsor a Haunted House from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, October 30- 31, in the Vickers Fine Arts Center on the Decatur campus.

"The ECCC Art Club hopes that anyone who gets enjoyment from fear, adrenaline, and the unknown will attend the Haunted House,” said art instructor Jeffrey Hodges. “We are striving to send chills down the spines of everyone who enters the Haunted House.”

The East Central Community College women’s soccer team got goals from three different players en route to a 3-1 win over Southwest Mississippi Community College Friday, Oct. 20, in Summit.

East Central completed its season with a 6-4-2 overall record and 3-4-1 in the MACJC North Division. Southwest completed its season 4-10 overall and 1-7 in the MACJC South Division.

It was the fourth straight winning season for the East Central women, and the first time the Lady Warriors missed the playoffs since 2013.

East Central Community College in Decatur will dramatically increase the value of the scholarships it awards at various ACT composite score levels beginning with the fall 2018 semester to provide greater financial support to more students.

The ACT Scholarship enhancements were approved at the October 2017 Board of Trustees meeting on campus.
