The East Central Community College soccer squads competed in the Rush Tournament at Meridian Community College Sept. 20, falling to the teams from LSU Eunice (La.).
The ECCC Lady Warriors lost 1-0 to the No. 15 ranked LSU Eunice Bengals. The Lady Warriors are now 4-3-1 on the season, while the LSU Eunice Bengals remain undefeated at 6-0-1.

The East Central Community College Lady Warriors battled to a 1-1 tie in two overtimes with the Pearl River Lady Wildcats, while the Warriors were shutout 6-0 by the PRCC Wildcats in non-division soccer matches Tuesday, Sept. 17, in Poplarville.
Both Pearl River teams entered the day with unbeaten records.
With the tie, the East Central Lady Warriors are now 4-2-1 on the season, while the Pearl River Lady Wildcats are 5-0-2.

East Central Community College in Decatur is again one of the best colleges in the nation to work for according to the annual survey of college and university employees by The Great Colleges to Work For program.
The results were released today in a special insert of The Chronicle of Higher Education.

After 37 years as a music educator, Ed Girling is bowing out in style as his 2019 East Central Community College Wall O’ Sound Marching Band presents “Guido’s Last Stand” for its halftime show.
Director Ed Girling said, “This is the final show I will design. I have taken some favorite tunes from past shows here and my other schools and even tunes that I have arranged for other groups. This is a show that audiences will want to experience again and again.”

Behind two goals from sophomore Leah Anderson, the East Central Community College Lady Warriors got into the win column in MACJC North Division soccer play with a 3-0 victory at Hinds on Tuesday, Sept. 10. The Warriors lost another heartbreaking match in the nightcap with a 2-1 double overtime loss to the Hinds Eagles.
With the win, the East Central Lady Warriors improved to 3-2 on the season and 1-2 in division play, while the Hinds Lady Eagles fell to 0-5 overall and 0-3 in North Division play.
