In a battle of NJCAA Top 10 softball teams, the No. 9 ranked East Central Community College Lady Warriors came up with a big road sweep of No. 7 Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Wednesday, March 21, in Biloxi.
East Central scored four runs in the top of the sixth inning and held on for a 7-5 win in game one. The Lady Warriors took game two 8-0 in five innings behind timely hitting and the pitching of Mackenzie Rousseau.
The games were played at Biloxi High School.

East Central Community College sophomore right-hander Dylan Marsh has been named the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges Baseball Pitcher of the Week for March 12-18.

The nationally ranked teams from Cowley College in Arkansas City, Kan., grabbed a pair of 9-0 wins over the East Central Community College men’s and women’s tennis teams in matches played Monday, March 19, at the Tennis Complex in Decatur.
The No. 7 ranked Cowley Tigers and the No. 11 ranked Lady Tigers are playing several matches in the state of Mississippi during their spring break.
The East Central Lady Warriors fell to 4-4 on the season, while the Warriors are now 0-8.

“Welty”, an exhibit featuring photographs by Eudora Welty, will be on display during the month of April at East Central Community College in Decatur.
The exhibit will be on display April 3 to April 27 in the college’s Mamie Ethel Burton Memorial Library. The Burton Library is open from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fridays, and 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sundays. The exhibit is free and open to the public.

No. 5 ECCC Baseball Drops 4 Spring Break Games
The East Central Community College Warriors moved up to No. 5 in the most recent NJCAA Division II Baseball Top 20 Poll before dropping four straight games over two days during Spring Break play at Clark-Gay Baseball Complex in Decatur.

The East Central Community College Warrior golf team finished in eighth place in the Carey Collegiate Classic during Spring Break.
The tournament, hosted by William Carey University was held March 12-13 at Canebrake Country Club in Hattiesburg. East Central shot 624 as a team.
