Both the East Central Community College baseball and softball teams will be in action this week in postseason play. East Central is one of just six MACCC programs to have both teams competing in postseason play and over the past 12 years, ECCC baseball coach Neal Holliman, and ECCC softball coach Leigh White, have sent their respective programs to the playoffs a combined 23 times.

The East Central Community College Lady Warrior softball team left Meridian on Wednesday afternoon, April 27, with a pair of wins as the Lady Warriors swept the Lady Eagles in a two-game MACCC matchup. With the wins the Lady Warriors moved to 25-19 overall and to 14-12 in MACCC play, while the Lady Eagles fell to 14-27, 4-22.

East Central Community College's River Maskew and Bryce Denley represented the Warriors at the NJCAA DII Gulf District Championship as individuals this week. The tournament was held at Kirkwood National in Holly Springs.

Tim Anderson’s wife, Bria, accepts the Hall of Fame plaque from ECCC Director of Athletics Paul Nixon on her husband’s behalf. Tim Anderson was playing a game for the Chicago White Sox and could not attend the ceremony.
