East Central Community College alumnus Tim Anderson, a native of Tuscaloosa, Ala., will be inducted into the Mississippi Community College Sports Hall of Fame during ceremonies Tuesday, April 26, at the Hinds Community College Muse Center in Pearl.

East Central Community College will hold four on-campus Commencement ceremonies on Thursday, May 5, and Friday, May 6, on the campus in Decatur.

All ceremonies will be held in Huff Auditorium. Doors open one hour before each ceremony.

Due to space limitations, each student participating in the Friday, May 6, ceremonies is allotted six tickets for family and friends. A ticket will be required to enter Huff Auditorium on Friday, May 6.

The East Central Community College football team has a new offensive line coach coming into the 2022 season in Ben Luther.

Luther, a Picayune native, and Picayune Memorial High School graduate brings years of experience to the Warrior offensive line with coaching experience at multiple levels of collegiate football.

Trey Nichols of Morton and Taylor Gregory of Louisville were named Mr. and Miss ECCC for 2021-22 by vote of the student body.

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act has made funding available through Individual Training Accounts for qualified applicants for specific Career & Technical Education and Nursing courses at East Central Community College in Decatur.

Due to the threat of severe weather, East Central Community College offices will open at 10 a.m. on Tuesday morning, April 5. Employees should report to work at that time. All morning on-campus, in-person classes will meet virtually. Students must participate in virtual instruction. On-campus, in-person classes will resume at 1 p.m. on Tuesday.
