Chas Evans estimates he’s composed the music for well over 1,000 songs over the past decade. But he’s never composed music heard on the big screen. That is until now.

East Central Community College’s LeAnn Shirley was pinned following completion of the Mississippi Community College Board’s 2022 Career Technical Education Leadership Academy April 26 by David Case, ECCC’s vice president for institutional research and effectiveness and chief of staff.

The Warriors of East Central Community College battled through a back-and-forth contest against the East Mississippi Community College Lions on Friday, May 6, to force a game three in the NJCAA Region 23 best-of-three series with an 11-10 win.

East Central Community College in Decatur has announced the members of its 2022-23 Cheerleading Squad.

The members receive full-tuition scholarships. In addition to cheering at all home and away football games and home basketball contests, the Warrior Cheer Team participates in campus pep rallies, parades with the college’s Wall O’ Sound Marching Band, community service, and other activities and events.

Both the East Central Community College baseball and softball teams will be in action this week in postseason play. East Central is one of just six MACCC programs to have both teams competing in postseason play and over the past 12 years, ECCC baseball coach Neal Holliman, and ECCC softball coach Leigh White, have sent their respective programs to the playoffs a combined 23 times.
