The East Central Community College Wall O’ Sound Marching Band will hold workshops and auditions for high school seniors and current college freshmen interested in becoming members of the band or one of its auxiliary groups during the 2022-23 school year on the campus in Decatur.

Auxiliary groups include the Drum Majors, Color Guard, and Centralettes Dance Team.

The East Central Community College Lady Warriors fell 9-0 in a tough match to Jones College on Tuesday afternoon, February 8. With the loss, the Lady Warriors fall to .500 on the year at 1-1.

The East Central Community College Warriors fell 7-2 to the Jones College Bobcats on Tuesday afternoon, February 8. The loss dropped the Warriors to just 1-1 on the year after numerous matches were canceled due to weather.

The No. 14 East Central Community College baseball team rallied from a deficit in both games on Monday afternoon, February 7, to move to 2-0 on the year with a pair of key, early-season wins over the Northeast Mississippi Community College Tigers, 12-8 and 2-1.

The Warriors of East Central Community College trimmed a 20-point first-half deficit to just four points in the final minutes on Monday night, February 7, but just could not get over the final hurdle in a tough 69-59 loss to Holmes. The Warriors drop to 4-13, 2-9 on the year, while Holmes improved to 8-11, 4-6.

The East Central Community College Lady Warriors picked up their second straight win on Monday night, February 7, with a 72-42 thumping of the Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs. With the win, the Lady Warriors are back at .500 with a 9-9 overall record and a 5-6 MACCC mark. The Lady Bulldogs fell to 1-18, 1-10 on the season.

The East Central Community College Lady Warrior softball team is ready to take the field in 2022 and build on a 13-27, 11-17 record from a year ago.

The East Central Community College Warriors pushed the No. 20 East Mississippi Lions to the limits on Thursday night, Feb. 3, as ECCC tied the game at 57-57 midway through the second half, unfortunately, EMCC was able to sneak out a 74-65 victory down the stretch. ECCC fell to 4-12, 2-8 on the year, while the Lions improved to 15-4, 8-2. The game was played on the EMCC campus in Scooba.
