The East Central Community College Warrior tennis team picked up the second straight win in as many days with a 6-3 victory over the Belhaven Blazers on Friday, February 25, in Jackson. 

"It was a strong victory over a four-year school," said ECCC head coach Jay Pacelli. "Dominik, Joe, and Orren led the way, but today was a team effort.

The East Central Community Lady Warrior tennis team went 1-1 over a two-day stretch late in the week as ECCC fell to Itawamba on Thursday, February 24, before taking down Belhaven in Jackson on Friday, February 25. 

ECCC suffered a challenging 4-5 loss to the Lady Indians after dropping two doubles matches and splitting singles play.

The No. 23 East Central Community College Warriors ended a three-match losing skid on Thursday night, February 24, with a stellar 7-2 win over the No. 22 Itawamba Indians.

The East Central Community College men's and women's basketball seasons are not over yet as both programs will be playing the NJCAA Region 23 tournament later this week and early next week.

LeVar Robinson has been selected to serve as sponsor and director of East Central Community College’s Gospel Choir.

Robinson, of Morton, takes over for Brenda K. Johnson, who recently retired as director of the student group. Johnson provided leadership for the ECCC Gospel Choir from 1988-2022.

East Central Community College student Alex Sharp of Philadelphia was selected as the new president of the state of Mississippi’s DECA Collegiate Division for the 2022-23 year at that organization’s state conference Feb. 17-18 at the Natchez Convention Center.
