ECCC Baseball Players Sign With 4-Year Programs

Two East Central Community College baseball players today signed National Letters of Intent to continue their academic and athletic careers at four-year programs.
ECCC President Dr. Billy Stewart Announces Retirement

East Central Community College President Dr. Billy Stewart today announced his retirement effective July 1, 2020.
The announcement was made at the monthly Board of Trustees meeting on the Decatur campus.
East Central Community College to Name New Band Hall in Memory of Tom Carson

The proposed new Band Hall at East Central Community College in Decatur will be named the Thomas W. Carson Band Hall when construction of the 13,000-square-foot facility is complete.
The ECCC Board of Trustees unanimously approved the naming at its Nov. 12 meeting on campus.

ECCC Warrior Basketball Falls 88-84 at Delgado

The East Central Community College Warriors got a combined 55 points from Nick Preyer and JaQuarius Smith but it wasn’t enough as the home-standing Delgado Dolphins picked up an 88-84 win at the Michael Williamson Center in New Orleans, La., on Monday, Nov. 11.
Delgado used a 15-2 run to close the first half to pull out to a 47-36 lead at intermission. The Warriors got as close as one point, trailing 81-80 with two minutes to play in the game, before Delgado sealed the four-point win.
ECCC to Close for Thanksgiving Holidays Nov. 25-29

East Central Community College in Decatur will close for the Thanksgiving holidays Monday through Friday, Nov. 25-29, 2019.
The college will reopen at 8 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 2.
ECCC Basketball Tops Royal Ambassadors 124-57

The East Central Community College Warriors reached the century mark in defeating the visiting Royal Ambassadors Christian School Lions 124-57 in exhibition basketball action Thursday, Nov. 7, in Brackeen-Wood Gym in Decatur.
