Walk-Off Double Helps ECCC Baseball Sweep Northeast

The East Central Community College Baseball Warriors got the second walk-off hit of the season from freshman Ken Scott for a dramatic 6-5 win in the nightcap and a doubleheader sweep over the Northeast Mississippi Community College Tigers Tuesday, Feb. 27, at the Clark-Gay Baseball Complex in Decatur.
East Central scored six runs in the bottom of the first inning of game one and then held on for a 7-6 win.
ECCC Women’s Tennis Wins Conference Match at ICC

The East Central Community College women’s tennis team improved its spring record to 2-1 Friday, Feb. 23, with a 9-0 win at Itawamba Community College in Fulton.
The ECCC men lost a tough 6-3 match to the ICC Indians to fall to 0-3 on the season.
Matches scheduled later that afternoon in New Albany against Blue Mountain College were canceled due to weather.

John Johnson of Morton is the newest member of the East Central Community College Board of Trustees, representing Scott County.
ECCC Basketball Teams Fall to Hinds in Regular Season Finales

The East Central Community College basketball teams concluded their 2017-18 seasons Thursday, Feb. 22, in action at Hinds Community College in Utica. The Lady Warriors fell 71-53 in the opening game to the Hinds Lady Bulldogs, while the Warriors dropped an 87-79 decision to the Bulldogs in the nightcap.

ECCC Men’s, Women’s Tennis Teams Drop Matches at Co-Lin

The East Central Community College tennis teams dropped a pair of road matches to MACJC foe Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Wesson on Tuesday, Feb. 20.
The ECCC women lost a 7-2 match to Co-Lin to fall to 1-1 on the season. The East Central men are now 0-2 after losing a 6-3 match to the Wolves.
