East Central Community College in Decatur has announced dates when prospective students can test and interview for acceptance into the MI-BEST program for fall 2018.
MI-BEST allows qualified applicants to take courses they need to prepare for the high school equivalency exam while at the same time training for jobs in fields such as collision repair technology, business and office technology, certified nurse assistant, culinary arts technology, hotel and restaurant management, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC).

Registering for Fall 2018 classes is among the activities new and transfer students will participate in when East Central Community College in Decatur holds its April Orientation sessions.
There will be three Orientation sessions in April for various groups of new students.

East Central Community College will again serve as host site for the annual Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges All-Star Basketball contests.
The doubleheader will be held Friday, April 13, in Brackeen-Wood Gymnasium on the ECCC campus in Decatur. The North Division women and South Division women will face off at 5 p.m. and the North and South men’s game will follow at 7 p.m.
Admission is $8 for adults and $5 for students.

No. 17 East Central Community College Warriors scored eight early runs in the opener and held on for a 12-6 win before losing a heartbreaking 1-0 second game in a baseball doubleheader split with No. 9 Jones County Junior College, Tuesday, March 27, at Community Bank Park in Ellisville.
With the split, East Central is 18-6 overall on the season and 7-1 in MACJC play, which puts the Warriors in second place in the league. The Jones County Bobcats are 18-6 and 5-3.
