ECCC Announces Fall Semester Honor Roll

Annual Report Card Shows High Marks for ECCC in Student Success, Student Progress

In accordance with Mississippi House Bill No. 1071 from the 2010 legislative session, East Central Community College in Decatur has released its 2016 Community College Performance Profile, or Report Card. The bill created an Education Achievement Council which was established to set education achievement goals for institutions of higher learning and community and junior colleges in the state and to assist in monitoring progress towards those goals through the preparation of annual institutional and state report cards. 

ECCC Basketball Teams Knock Southwest From Ranks of Undefeated

The Southwest Mississippi Community College men’s and women’s basketball teams came to Decatur Monday, Dec. 4, and both left with their first losses of the season as the East Central Community College Warriors and Lady Warriors combined for the sweep in Brackeen-Wood Gym.

In the opening game, the ECCC Lady Warriors knocked off the Southwest Lady Bears 70-61 behind 21 points and eight rebounds from freshman Diamond Wraggs of Louisville. The win kept East Central undefeated on the season at 7-0, while Southwest fell to 6-1.

East Central Basketball Teams Combine for 4-0 Record in EC Classic

The East Central Community College basketball teams went undefeated in the annual EC Classic held Nov. 20-21 in Brackeen-Wood Gym on the campus in Decatur.

The Lady Warriors remained undefeated at 6-0 on the season with an 87-53 win over Southern University-Shreveport on Nov. 20 and followed that with an 84-53 win over Lawson State Community College out of Birmingham, Ala., the following day.
