The East Central Community College Lady Warriors dropped to 1-6 on the year March 8 as the team fell to the Copiah-Lincoln Community College Lady Wolves, 64-54. The Lady Warriors will be back on the court tomorrow, Wednesday, March 10, as they host the Southwest Lady Bears in Brackeen-Wood Gymnasium for a COVID-19 makeup game at 6 p.m.

The East Central Community College men's tennis team went 1-2 over the week of March 1-8 with a loss to Coastal Alabama-South, a win over Holmes, and a loss against nationally-ranked Wallace State. The results move the Warriors to 6-5 on the year.

It was a back-and-forth day for the Lady Warriors of East Central Community College on Saturday, March 6, as they came from behind to defeat Holmes 4-3 in the opener, before falling in game two, 8-3, in a MACCC doubleheader. The split moves ECCC to 4-10 on the year and to 3-3 in conference play.

The ECCC offense could not be tamed on Saturday, March 6, as the Warriors ran away with a pair of big wins against Holmes, 15-4 and 14-6. The offensive showcases pushed the Warriors record to 9-5 on the year and to 6-0 in the MACCC.

The East Central Community College Warriors silenced the big bats of No. 7 Pearl River Community College as they picked up two wins to sweep the Wildcats Wednesday, March 3. The wins move the Warriors to 7-5 on the year and to 4-0 in MACCC play. Pearl River falls to 10-4.

The Lady Warriors of East Central Community College dropped two games to the Pearl River Lady Wildcats on Wednesday night, March 3. The losses move ECCC to 3-9 on the season and to 2-2 in MACCC play. Pearl River improves to 11-3, 4-0. 

Game One | L, 5-3

A PRCC triple in the bottom of the second put the Lady Wildcats on top, 1-0, before they added another three in the bottom of the third with an RBI single and RBI double. The start put PRCC on top, 4-0.

The Lady Warriors of East Central Community College were neck and neck with the No. 2 Jones College Lady Bobcats on Monday, March 1, at the half, but ultimately fell, 70-49. The loss moves ECCC to 1-4 on the year and improves Jones to 9-0. 

Scoring was sparse in the early minutes as the game was tied at 6-6 with just 2:27 remaining in the first quarter. Eventually, the teams would get their feet under them and after one, Jones led by one, 14-13.
