The East Central Community College basketball teams made the short drive east on I-20 to face MACJC South Division rival Meridian Community College Tuesday, Jan. 21, and came home with a pair of losses.

The Meridian Lady Eagles used a decisive fourth period to pick up a 61-46 win over the Lady Warriors in the opener, while the Eagles came out on top with a hard-fought 87-82 win over the Warriors in the men’s action.

East Central Community College sophomore guard Jariyah Covington has been selected as the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges’ Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for her play Jan. 13-19.

Registration is underway at East Central Community College in Decatur for Spring 2020 Intensive Term II on-campus and online courses.

The last day to register for Spring 2020 Intensive Term II on-campus courses is Thursday, Feb 27. Classes begin on Wednesday, Feb. 26, and end April 30.

Classes offered on the Decatur campus are Introduction to Business, Special Projects in HVAC &  Refrigeration, College Algebra, and Calculus II.

The East Central Community College Lady Warriors and Warriors finally got into the win column in MACJC South Division play with a road sweep of Copiah-Lincoln Monday, Jan. 13, in Wesson.

January 10, 2020

The East Central Community College basketball teams opened the 2020 portion of their seasons with a pair of MACJC South Division road losses at Pearl River Community College in Poplarville on Thursday, Jan. 9.

The ECCC Lady Warriors fell in the opener 54-45, while the Warriors lost to the No. 4 ranked Wildcats 100-64.

East Central Community College in Decatur is now accepting applications for the Slagle In-District Tuition Scholarship through June 30, 2020.

Depending on the availability of funding, the Slagle In-District Tuition Scholarship is available for students in the college’s district, which includes Leake, Neshoba, Newton, Scott, and Winston counties. This scholarship serves as a “gap filler” and awards several thousand dollars annually to ECCC students who are in need of funds to cover tuition expenses.

Students named to the 2019 fall semester honor roll, which includes those full-time students selected to the President’s List, Dean’s List and Honorable Mention List, have been announced at East Central Community College in Decatur. Full-time students are those who complete 15 or more hours during the semester.
