ECCC Baseball Set to Host First Round Region 23 Playoff Series May 10-11

The East Central Community College baseball will host Mississippi Delta Community College in a best two-of-three National Junior College Athletic Association Region 23 first round playoff series Wednesday and Thursday, May 10-11, at the Clark-Gay Baseball Complex in Decatur.

Game one of the NJCAA Region 23 series will be Wednesday, May 10, at 6 p.m. Game two is scheduled for Thursday, May 11, at 2 p.m. Game three, if necessary, will follow on Thursday.

East Central Softball Ends Season in MACJC State Tourney

The No. 8 nationally ranked East Central Community College softball team fell short in the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges State Tournament after dropping consecutive games to No. 1 ranked Jones County Junior College and No. 6 ranked Itawamba Community College. The double elimination tournament was held on the campus of Jones County in Ellisville.

2017 ECCC Kids’ College Combines Fun and Learning for Exciting Summer Program

East Central Community College will combine fun and learning for another exciting Kids’ College Program for ages 5-12. The annual enrichment program will be held June 19-23 and June 26-30 on the Decatur campus.

Numerous courses are offered each week and the cost is $50 per class. Each participant will receive a Kids’ College T-shirt.

Walk-off Home Run Gives East Central Baseball Split with Gulf Coast

East Central Community College’s Cole Prestegard hit a two-out solo home run in the bottom of the seventh inning of game two to break a 6-6 tie and give the Warriors a doubleheader split with Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Wednesday, May 3, at the Clark-Gay Baseball Complex in Decatur.
