MEMA to Hold Emergency Management Training on ECCC Campus

The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) will hold training using the National Incident Management System on the East Central Community College campus in Decatur July 10-14, 2017.

MEMA Director Lee Smithson will open the weeklong training with remarks at 9 a.m. on Monday, July 10, in Thrash Auditorium in Newton Hall on the ECCC campus. The public is invited to hear Smithson’s opening comments.

ECCC student-athletes receive state, national recognition for academic performance

Several East Central Community College student-athletes received state and national recognition for academic performance during the 2016-17 academic year on the Decatur campus.

In all, 50 ECCC student-athletes were recognized by the National Junior College Athletic Association, the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges, or both organizations.
