ECCC to Hold Class Registration, Admission Sessions in Carthage, Choctaw, Louisville
Instructional Counselors from East Central Community College will visit three of the college’s off-campus centers in April to assist current students with fall 2017 course registration and new students with enrolling in the college.

No. 13 ECCC Softball Sweeps MACJC Foe Meridian
The No. 13 nationally ranked East Central Community College Lady Warrior softball team swept the visiting Meridian Community College Lady Eagles in an MACJC doubleheader Wednesday, April 5, at the Softball Park in Decatur.
East Central won the first game 8-0 and followed that with a 7-4 win in the nightcap.
East Central is now 31-5 on the season and 16-4 in MACJC league play. Meridian fell to 8-12 and 13-16 in league play.

Jamie Clark, who served as East Central Community College head baseball coach from 1988-2001, will be posthumously inducted into the Mississippi Community College Sports Hall of Fame during ceremonies scheduled April 25 at the Hinds Community College Muse Center in Pearl.

The East Central Community College men’s and women’s tennis teams started a three match journey against ranked opponents by dropping close matches to the No. 19 ranked Copiah-Lincoln Community College men and the No. 25 ranked Co-Lin women.
The matches were played Wednesday, April 5, at the ECCC Tennis Complex in Decatur.
The No. 17 ECCC men lost 6-3 and fell to 10-5 on the season. The East Central women lost 5-4 and are now 7-8 on the year.

The East Central Community College Workforce Development Center will offer numerous classes during the month of April at various locations throughout the district.
Classes offered at the Neshoba Business Enterprise Center include:
• Business Issues-Disaster Recovery–Offered by the Small Business Development Center, this free class will be held Tuesday, April 18, and meets from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Neshoba Business Enterprise Center, which is located at 1018 Saxton Road in Philadelphia.

The No. 13 nationally ranked East Central Community College baseball team dropped a doubleheader to Pearl River Community College Tuesday, April 4, in Poplarville.
The Diamond Warriors could not catch up after letting the Wildcats have early big innings in each contest.
The Wildcats defeated ECCC 7-3 in game one and then took the nightcap 5-2.
With the losses, the Diamond Warriors dropped to 20-10 overall and 6-6 in MACJC league play. Pearl River improved to 17-7 on the season and 8-2 MACJC play.

The East Central Community College men’s and women’s tennis teams swept Holmes Community College for this second time this spring season in matches played Tuesday, April 4, in Goodman.
The No. 17 ranked Warriors defeated the Bulldogs 7-2, while the regionally ranked Lady Warriors won 9-0. The ECCC men are now 10-4 on the season, while the women are 7-7.

Seven-time tennis Grand Slam Champion Mats Wilander is bringing his Wilander on Wheels tennis experience to East Central Community College’s new Tennis Complex on Tuesday, April 25.

The second annual East Central Community College WarriorFest is set for Saturday, April 22, on the Decatur campus and will feature the nationally ranked Diamond Warriors in double header baseball action against Itawamba Community College, as well as a Crawfish Boil and other activities.
