The No. 12 East Central Community College Lady Warrior softball team picked up another sweep Wednesday, Feb. 16, this time over East Mississippi Community College in Scooba.

East Central Community College freshman Kaitlyn Oswalt has added national recognition to her MACJC Pitcher of the Week honors.

The East Central Community College men’s and women’s tennis teams continued their journey on the road, this time in Wesson where the No. 22 ranked Warrior men’s team knocked off the No. 17 Copiah-Lincoln Wolves in a tight 5-4 match Wednesday, Feb. 15.

It was the Warriors third win this year against a top 25 opponent.

The East Central women fell to the Lady Wolves 7-2.

The ECCC men are now 3-1 on the season, while the women are 1-3.

East Central Community College will hold an Open House for students interested in its MI-BEST program beginning at 1 p.m. on Monday, March 6.

The event will be held in the Tucker Applied Technology Center on the Decatur campus.

According to Erin Tramill, navigator for ECCC’s MI-BEST, the open house is an opportunity for students who are interested in enrolling in the program for fall 2017 to learn more about MI-BEST, the career opportunities and other benefits of the program, and the upcoming test/interview dates.
