The East Central Community College Workforce Development Center will offer various new classes beginning during the month of January.
Courses offered at the Philadelphia/Neshoba County Career-Technical Center include:
• Sewing/Embroidery–Classes begin Monday, Jan. 23, and meet from 6 to 9 p.m. for four consecutive Mondays. Cost is $100 per person and Jill Powe will serve as instructor.

The East Central Community College Warriors lost a close back and forth battle against the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Bulldogs 79-77 in Perkinston Tuesday, Jan. 17.
The score was tied seven times and the lead changed hands nine times in the second half alone, but a lay-up with two seconds left in the game put Gulf Coast on top for the win.
ECCC led by one at the intermission.

The East Central Community College Lady Warrior basketball team pulled out another MACJC South Division win this time against Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Tuesday, Jan. 17, in Perkinston.
ECCC trailed by two at the half, but with a strong second half performance the Lady Warriors defeated MGCCC 77-68.

The East Central Community College men’s basketball team kicked off the new year with an 82-80 win in a close matchup against East Mississippi Community College in non-division action in Scooba, Tuesday, Jan. 10.
The first half of the ballgame was a back and forth battle between the Warriors and Lions.

The East Central Community College women’s basketball team beat rival East Mississippi Community College in a hard fought game in Scooba Tuesday, Jan. 10, by the score of 72-69.
The Lady Warriors jumped out to an early advantage in the first quarter leading the Lady Lions 25-21, but could not hold on to the lead trailing 41-34 at the intermission.
