The East Central Community College men’s and women’s tennis teams both lost matches to nationally ranked Meridian Community College teams Monday, Feb. 6, in Meridian.

East Central Community College will hold its annual Black History Month program Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017, on the Decatur campus.

Activities begin at 7 p.m. in the Vickers Fine Arts Center auditorium.

There is no charge for admission.

Pastor Stan Jones from Jerusalem Temple in Philadelphia will serve as guest speaker.

The ECCC Gospel Choir sponsors the Black History Program and will also perform.

The East Central Community College men’s tennis team opened its 2017 season with a convincing 6-3 upset over No. 15 nationally ranked Marion Military Institute in a match played Friday, Feb. 3, in Marion, Ala.

The East Central Community College Workforce Development Center will offer a Home Maintenance and Repair Course at the Philadelphia/Neshoba County Career & Technical Center beginning Monday, Feb. 13, 2017.

The class will meet from 6 to 9 pm. on Monday nights for eight consecutive weeks.

Cost to attend is $150 per person and James Boykin will serve as instructor.

The East Central Community College Workforce Development Center will offer a Welding course at the Louisville/Winston County Career & Technical Center beginning Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017.

The class will meet from 3 to 9 pm. Tuesday through Thursday for three consecutive weeks. Instruction includes GMAW, FCAW, and MCAW processes.

Cost to attend is $150 per person and Shane McDaniel will serve as instructor.

The East Central Community College Workforce Development Center will offer a Manufacturing Safety course at the Louisville Career Advancement Center beginning Monday, Feb. 6.

The class will meet from 8 a.m. to noon Monday through Thursday for two consecutive weeks.

Cost to attend is $25 per person and Chuck Fadale will serve as instructor.
