The No. 8 ranked East Central Community College softball team split a doubleheader against the No. 7 Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Lady Bulldogs in Moss Point Tuesday, April 11.
The Lady Diamond Warriors lost the first game of the afternoon 9-8, but picked up a 10-5 victory over the Lady Bulldogs in game two.
With the split, ECCC is now 34-6 overall and 19-5 in MACJC league play.

The East Central Community College baseball team was swept by Hinds Community College after letting the Eagles take early leads in both games of the doubleheader at the Clark-Gay Baseball Complex in Decatur Tuesday, April 11.
Hinds took game one 6-3 and the nightcap 13-5.
With the losses, the Warriors dropped to 22-12 overall and 8-8 in MACJC league play. The Eagles improved to 21-9 on the season and 10-4 in the league.

East Central Community College in Decatur will again serve as the host site for the annual Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges All-Star Basketball Games.
This year's event is set for Friday, April 14. The women's contest begins at 5 p.m. and will be followed by the men's matchup at the Brackeen-Wood Gym.

East Central Community College will host the third annual East Central Mississippi High School All-Star Basketball Games Thursday, April 13, in the Brackeen-Wood Gymnasium on the Decatur campus.
The women’s contest begins at 6 p.m. and will be followed by the men’s match-up at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $7 for adults and $5 for students.
Participants are divided into North and South teams, based on the location of their schools.

ECCC Men’s Tennis Tops No. 18 Marion Military
After a week of competition against nationally ranked opponents, the No. 17 East Central Community College men’s tennis team picked up a win over visiting No. 18 Marion Military Institute Saturday, April 8, at the Tennis Complex on the Decatur campus.
After losses to No. 19 Co-Lin and No. 18 Mississippi Gulf Coast earlier in the week, the Warriors knocked off Marion 6-3.
The East Central women fell to No. 14 Marion Military women 9-0.

The East Central Community College softball team traveled to Booneville Saturday, April 8, and came home with a pair of important MACJC wins over the Northeast Mississippi Community College Lady Tigers.
The No. 13 ranked Lady Diamond Warriors won a close 3-1 affair in game one and came back to take game two by a 7-1 score.
East Central improved to 33-5 on the year and 18-4 in MACJC league play. The Lady Warriors currently stand in third place in the 15-team league.

East Central Community College in Decatur will close for the Easter Holidays at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 13, and will reopen at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, April 18.

ECCC to Hold Class Registration, Admission Sessions in Carthage, Choctaw, Louisville
Instructional Counselors from East Central Community College will visit three of the college’s off-campus centers in April to assist current students with fall 2017 course registration and new students with enrolling in the college.
