The East Central Community College Lady Warriors had a strong showing at the NJCAA Region XXIII Tournament on the campus of Jones College in Ellisville, April 15-17, with a fourth-place team finish. The Lady Warriors entered the event as the No. 6 seed, and the tournament was held as a team event, meaning whichever team won five of nine courts would get the win.

East Central Community College in Decatur will offer limited on-campus housing for those students attending one of the summer academic terms in June and July.

Those interested in on-campus housing while attending summer classes should contact Dr. Amanda Walton, director of housing and student activities, at awalton@eccc.edu or 601-635-6213, or go by the Housing Office in the Smith Student Union Building on the Decatur campus.

The East Central Community College Lady Warriors continue to win as the team shut out the Mississippi Gulf Coast Lady Bulldogs, 2-0, on Sunday afternoon, April 18. The win moves ECCC to 5-0-1 on the season and puts the Lady Warriors at the top of the MACCC standings.

The Warriors of East Central Community College fell to 2-3-1 on the season on Sunday afternoon, April 18, as the Mississippi Gulf Coast Bulldogs got a 3-1 victory. The match was held on Gulf Coast's turf football field at A.L. May Memorial Stadium due to wet weather.

Just one day before the NJCAA Region XXIII Tournament, East Central Community College's Chris Lawrance (York, Australia) was tabbed as the UTR (Universal Tennis Rating) ITA Player of the Week.

Registration is open for students interested in attending East Central Community College’s accelerated three-week Maymester term or one of four online and on-campus Summer terms.

“The various summer terms are great opportunities for current students who might need to catch up or for university students who are home for the summer,” said ECCC’s Vice President for Student Services Dr. Randall Lee. “The Maymester term is also a great opportunity for students to complete a class in just three weeks.”
