All students at high schools in Newton County are invited to a special “Be Our Guest” night when the East Central Community College women’s and men’s basketball teams face Southwest Mississippi Community College on Monday, Jan. 28, in Brackeen-Wood Gymnasium on the ECCC campus in Decatur.

The East Central Lady Warriors will battle the Southwest Lady Bears at 5:30 p.m., followed by the ECCC Warriors and the Southwest Bears at 7:30 p.m.

There is still time to register for spring semester Full-Term and Intensive Term I online courses at East Central Community College in Decatur.

The last day to register for Spring 2019 Full-Term Online courses is Wednesday, Jan. 23. Classes begin on Tuesday, Jan. 22, and end Friday, May 3, 2019.

All students at Scott County high schools are invited to a special “Be Our Guest” night when the East Central Community College women’s and men’s basketball teams face Copiah-Lincoln Community College on Monday, Jan. 14, in Brackeen-Wood Gymnasium on the ECCC campus in Decatur.

The East Central Lady Warriors will battle the Co-Lin Lady Wolves at 5:30 p.m., followed by the ECCC Warriors and the Co-Lin Wolves at 7:30 p.m.

Eight East Central Community College sophomore football players signed National Letters of Intent to continue their careers at four-year colleges and universities during the recent National Signing Day for football midyear junior college transfers.

All students at high schools in Leake County are invited to a special “Be Our Guest” night when the East Central Community College women’s and men’s basketball teams face Pearl River Community College on Thursday, Jan. 10, in Brackeen-Wood Gymnasium on the ECCC campus in Decatur.

The East Central Lady Warriors will battle the Pearl River Lady Wildcats at 5:30 p.m., followed by the ECCC Warriors and the Pearl River Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. The Pearl River men are currently ranked No. 17 in the nation.

December 16, 2018

The East Central Community College Lady Warriors and Warriors closed out the 2018 portion of their basketball seasons with a split against Delgado Community College in doubleheader action Thursday, Dec. 13. The games were played at Dillard University in New Orleans.

The Lady Warriors overcame a slow start in the first period to grab a 63-49 win over the Lady Dolphins. East Central shot only 21 percent from the floor the first 10 minutes and trailed 28-27 after two periods.

Students named to the 2018 fall semester honor roll, which includes those selected to the President’s List, Dean’s List and Honorable Mention List, have been announced at East Central Community College in Decatur.

East Central Community College is hosting a girls and boys High School Basketball Shootout Dec. 21-22 in Brackeen-Wood Gym on the ECCC campus in Decatur.

Admission is $7 per day.

The schedule for the ECCC High School Basketball Shootout is:

Friday, Dec. 21: Southeast Lauderdale vs. Natchez (girls), 2:30 p.m.; Southeast Lauderdale vs. Natchez (boys), 4 p.m.; Choctaw Central vs. Newton (girls), 5:30 p.m.; and Choctaw Central vs. Newton (boys), 7 p.m.
