East Central Community College will honor military veterans by hosting an appreciation breakfast Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016, on the Decatur campus.
The special event begins with a complimentary breakfast at 7 a.m. in the Molly McGee Gold Room in Mabry Memorial Cafeteria.
Members of the college’s vocal music ensemble Voce’ will sing the national anthem and trumpeter Anastasia Crout of Lake, a member of the Wall O’ Sound Marching Band, is scheduled to play Taps.

The East Central Community College Football Warriors will host the defending national champion and No. 5 ranked Northwest Mississippi Community College Rangers in the semifinals of the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges state playoffs Saturday, Nov. 5.
Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. at Bailey Stadium on the East Central campus in Decatur. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students.

The East Central Community College Warrior football team earned its first-ever Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges South Division Championship with a 42-13 road win over Southwest Mississippi Community College Saturday, Oct. 29, in Summit.
While it was the Warriors first South Division title, East Central did earn a North Division title in 1970.

The East Central Community College men’s soccer team saw its season come to an end with a 5-1 loss to the Southwest Mississippi Community College Bears in an MACJC quarterfinal matchup in Bailey Stadium in Decatur Tuesday, Oct. 25.
ECCC’s lone goal was by Fredy Gutierrez of Pontotoc High School on a penalty kick.
Coach Kenneth Thompson’s men’s squad finished 9-8 on the season and 5-3 in the North Division.

The East Central Community College women’s soccer team ended its season after falling 1-0 to Pearl River Community College in overtime of the quarterfinals of the MACJC playoffs Tuesday, Oct. 25, in Bailey Stadium in Decatur.
Coach Gray Massey’s East Central squad finished the season 12-4 overall and 6-2 in the North Division.
This year’s team had the best start in school history at 9-0. The women have finished in the second place in the MACJC North Division three years in a row.
Registration for spring semester classes at East Central Community College begins Monday, Nov. 7.
Classes begin Monday, Jan. 9, 2017. The deadline to enroll is Tuesday, Jan. 10.
Online courses begin Tuesday, Jan. 17. The last day to register is Wednesday, Jan. 18.
“Although the semester does not start until January, we encourage prospective students to register early to get the necessary classes at the times that are most desirable,” said Dr. Randall Lee, vice president for student services.

East Central Community College’s fourth quarter comeback fell short as the Warriors lost a tough 20-14 football game to No. 5 nationally ranked and defending national champion Northwest Mississippi Community College Thursday, Oct. 20, in Senatobia.
The Warriors trailed 20-0 at the half, but the defense held the Rangers scoreless the second half putting East Central in a position for a comeback.

The East Central Community College men’s soccer team fell to Hinds Community College 6-0 in MACJC North Division action Wednesday, Oct. 19, at the Soccer Complex on the Decatur campus.
The Warriors were not able to score in their final regular season game against the Eagles.
The ECCC men’s soccer team finished second in the division and will host Southwest Mississippi Community College in the first round of the playoffs in Bailey Stadium in Decatur on Tuesday, Oct. 25, at 7:00 p.m.
