The East Central Community College Lady Warriors have knocked off another nationally ranked program as the No. 6 Lady Warriors defeated the No. 19 Mississippi Gulf Coast Lady Bulldogs, 1-0, on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 4. The win moves ECCC to 4-0 on the year and drops the Lady Bulldogs to 1-2. The win sets the Lady Warriors up nicely heading into MACCC North Divison play beginning next week.

The East Central Community College Warriors duked it out with the Owls of the Mississippi University for Women's men's team on Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 1. The match ended in a 1-1 draw as two late goals got the fans to their feet at Bailey Stadium in Decatur.

The East Central Community College Lady Warriors, the No. 6 ranked team in the NJCAA, hosted the Mississippi University of Women for the 2021 home opener on Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 1. The Lady Warriors defeated the NCAA DIII institution, 4-0, after a very strong performance.

One goal was the difference-maker on Friday afternoon, August 27, as the East Central Lady Warriors held on to defeat the Southwest Mississippi Lady Bears, 1-0.

East Central Community College is hosting its second free COVID-19 vaccination clinic of the fall semester on Wednesday, Sept. 8, on the campus in Decatur. Rush Health Systems is sponsoring the clinic with the college.
Rush personnel, with the assistance of ECCC nursing students, administered the Pfizer vaccine to 139 people during the first clinic held on campus on Aug. 18.

East Central Community College will hold its annual “Meet the Warriors” preseason pep rally at 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 13. Well-known DJ Aaron Tullos will be playing music throughout the evening and will emcee the introduction of the 2021 Warrior football and men’s and women’s soccer teams.
The event was originally scheduled for Aug. 30, but was postponed due to Hurricane Ida.
