East Central Community College’s Small Business Development Center will offer a free seminar on “Understanding Business Financials” from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Monday, September 26, 2016, at the Workforce Development Center on the Decatur campus.

This workshop is designed to introduce participants to basic accounting theory, budgeting, performance indicators and accounting terminology for small businesses.

Ronald Westbrook, director of ECCC’s Small Business Development Center, will serve as facilitator for the class.

East Central Community College art instructor Jeffrey Hodges will have his artwork Primal Rituals on display at Memphis College of Art (MCA) through Sept. 30 in the Rust Hall Alumni Gallery, 1930 Poplar Ave., Overton Park.

The ECCC Warriors open the 2016 football campaign Thursday, Sept. 1, when they host the Holmes Community College Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. in Bailey Stadium on the Decatur campus.

The public is invited to “Meet the Warriors” when East Central Community College hosts the annual pep rally and student-athlete introductions event scheduled for 6:30 p.m., Monday, Aug. 29, at Bailey Stadium on the Decatur campus.

ECCC President Dr. Billy Stewart will welcome the anticipated large crowd for the event and provide comments about the upcoming athletics seasons.
